Spiritual Warfare is real.  People don’t like talking about this subject or hearing about it. But it is worth mentioning as the bible does tell us to be alert because the enemy (satan) is always looking for whom he may devour. It also says don’t give the enemy a chance. You may hear Christians say, “Don’t give the devil any credit,” or “Don’t even think about the devil.” It is true that God does not want us to walk in fear. It is also true that we should focus on the positive. In sports, teams have to practice and although they may be one of the best teams, they cannot take for granted their opponent’s strengths. They have to be wise and on the defense to handle any surprise game strategy. We, like any good sports player, have to do the same in our Christian walk.

How Spiritual Warfare Works

We are not always aware but there is a war going on against Christians 24/7. Satan enters our lives in the most subtle ways so that we are unaware that we are letting him in.  His subtlety causes us to let our guards down and allow his entrance into our homes and our lives.  When you can’t figure out where something is coming from, always check to see if there was a door you allowed satan to come through.  If you have not given satan permission to enter your life by any door you opened, then stand against him by speaking God’s word against his actions and continue to live as God has called you to.

If you find that you allowed satan to enter your household or life, then you can get rid of him by applying the blood of Jesus over your household or over that situation.  According to Matthew 18:18-20, whatever you allow, the heavens will allow and whatever you don’t allow, the heavens will back you.
